Lil Tecca's 'Ran$om' Hits No. 1 On Rhythmic Songs Airplay Chart.
Lil Tecca locks up his first No. 1 on
Billboard’s Rhythmic Songs airplay chart as “Ran$om” lifts 2-1 on the
list dated Oct. 19. The single ascends with a 12% surge in plays in the
week ending Oct. 13, according to Nielsen Music.
“Ran$om” debuted on the Rhythmic Songs chart dated July 20 and reached the top 10 in its seventh week on the list. The track’s radio success follows a huge streaming reception: “Ran$om” topped Billboard’s all-genre Streaming Songs chart for seven straight weeks from August-October and sits at No. 4 on the most recent ranking.
As “Ran$om” arrives at the pinnacle of Rhythmic Songs, it makes forward progress on many other Billboard radio rankings. The song climbs 8-6 to a new peak on the Rap Airplay chart, picking up an 18% gain in audience in the week ending Oct. 13 in the process, surges 19-13 on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay thanks to a 26% increase in audience and even continues to make inroads in the pop radio market with a 29-28 rise on the Pop Songs airplay chart through a 5% bump in plays in the same weekly period.
Beyond what “Ran$om” does for Lil Tecca’s resume, the single secures the first Rhythmic Songs No. 1 for one of its two producers, Taz Taylor. Second producer Nick Mira, meanwhile, banks his second leader after his work on Juice WRLD’s “Lucid Dreams,” which led the chart for one week in October 2018.
